Kevin is Your Friend in Reykjavik. Originally from Germany, Kevin is our dedicated Product Manager, seamlessly blending technical expertise with creative problem-solving. His journey to Iceland began in 2015 during a business trip, where he not only fell in love with the country but also with a special someone.

By 2018, he had made Iceland his permanent home. Kevin enjoys strolling through Iceland’s scenic landscapes with his daughter and is often seen downtown, enjoying a drink with friends and colleagues. With his extensive technical know-how and passion for his new home, Kevin is a pivotal part of our team, ensuring everything runs like clockwork behind the scenes.

The weather 🙁 I live near the ocean, so my street is essentially a wind tunnel, blowing you into the ocean if you’re not weighed down by the constant rain.

What is your favourite place in Iceland?

This may sound cheap, but everything! No matter where you look, the country is just absolutely beautiful.

More like a range of foods – the dairy products in Iceland are just amazing!

How about an Icelandic drink?

The craft beers, as endless as that list may become, have definitely made me fall in love with the country twice over. As a German, that is high praise.

Hard to pick, but I always enjoy it when my girlfriend is listening to Friðrik Dór 🙂

Do you have a favourite Icelandic clothing brand?

ZO•ON cause they made my jacket that I´ve been using for 5 years and keeps me warmer than a thick wool coat.

What is your favourite restaurant?

Flatey Pizzeria at Grandi! Best Pizza in the world.

What Icelandic food is most often eaten at home?

Flatkaka for breakfast has become a daily staple, as well as Skyr 🙂
