Litli Hrútur Active Volcano Tour

This tour departs from Reykjavik, and the pick-up starts at 9 AM.

Hiking

The hike up to the Litli Hrutur volcano takes about 3 hours one way (9km); it might be long and demanding, but what your eyes will witness once you reach the location are really worth it!

You will enjoy the unbelievable views of an erupting volcano! Not something you manage to see every day! Once you’re at the site of the volcano, you will witness freshly made lava fields formed by the magma flow. You will get to spend some time by this natural wonder, about one hour and a half; we will also find a good and safe spot to enjoy the Icelandic chocolate, Hraun – which means “lava”.

We urge you to bring some lunch, snacks, and enough water to keep you hydrated.
