Fire & Ice Helicopter Tour

The Fire and Ice tour is one of our most unique offers. It combines a few of our most popular tours and includes two landings: one on a glacier and one on a volcano!

Your adventure starts at Reykjavik Domestic Airport, where we head straight to the Þórisjökull glacier for our first landing. On the way, we’ll fly over Iceland’s highest waterfall, Glymur—saving you hours of hiking and offering a spectacular view from the sky. Upon reaching the glacier, you’ll have the chance to walk on it, snap some unforgettable photos, throw a snowball, make snow angels, or simply take in the breathtaking scenery and fresh, crisp air.

After our glacier adventure, we’ll head to Þingvellir National Park, a highlight of Iceland’s famous Golden Circle. Here, you’ll see the historic site of Iceland’s ancient parliament and the country’s largest natural lake. But the real highlight is witnessing the continental drift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates, a phenomenon best viewed from above.

Our second landing on this tour takes us to the Hengill geothermal area, named after the Hengill volcano. This remote valley, typically accessible only by a long hike or helicopter, is home to hot springs and bubbling mud pots that you can get up close to. It’s a truly magical place, stunning in every season.

This tour is weather dependent and if the weather forecast is not looking promising at the time of your booked tour we always try to A) Try to change the time on the same day (e.g. go in the afternoon instead of the morning). B) Offer you to go on a different date (e.g. they day before or the day after). C) If we are fully booked and can not offer options A and B we always give a full refund!
