As midday approaches, we’ll stop at the N1 Fuel Station for a quick lunch (feel free to bring your own or grab something there). Next, we head to Nauthúsagil Canyon, a hidden gem shaped by glaciers and rivers over thousands of years. Here, you’ll discover an area rich in history and folklore on the edge of the Icelandic Highlands.

Your driver-guide, who’s also a professional photographer, will lead you on a hike through this enchanting ravine. Surrounded by towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into an episode of Vikings. Traverse moss-covered rocks and drink from clear, fresh streams. With your Viking attire on, you’ll have stunning photos to document your adventure through this remote wilderness.

Next on the Ultimate Viking Experience, a hidden waterfall adventure awaits! Some say this area feels like an iconic Viking movie set, and we wholeheartedly agree. After a short 10-15 minute stroll, you’ll be captivated by the winding path and the stunning waterfall view. Take a moment to enjoy the scenery and fill up your water bottle before or after snapping photos!

In Norse mythology, Skógafoss is linked to the legendary Viking settler, Þrasi Þórólfsson. The sagas tell of him hiding a treasure chest behind the waterfall, and locals later found the chest but could only grab the ring before it vanished again. As part of this Ultimate Viking experience, explore this magical area and capture unforgettable photos in a place steeped in Viking history and myth!

The second half of the day takes you to Mr. Iceland’s countryside paradise, where you’ll meet this local legend known for his deep knowledge of Icelandic culture and history. Here, you’ll enjoy an authentic Icelandic horseback riding experience, capturing photos along the way. As you ride through the stunning landscape, you’ll feel the wind in your hair while experiencing the unique 5th gait of the Icelandic horse, creating lasting memories and a deep connection with these majestic creatures.

As the day comes to an end, we’ll enjoy a communal dinner with Mr. Iceland, where you’ll savor delicious Icelandic cuisine. While you dine, he’ll share captivating tales of Viking lore and mythology, deepening your understanding of Iceland’s rich traditions.
