Who We Are

Local Operators, Expert Knowledge

Your Friend in Reykjavik is a full-service Destination Management Company (DMC) locally owned and based in Iceland since 2014. We specialize in managing on-ground logistics for Indian travellers, ensuring a seamless bridge between your cultural preferences and the raw beauty of the Nordic region.

Whether you are an Indian travel agency, a corporate planner, or a family planning a dream vacation, we offer direct local control, 24/7 support, and 5,000+ five-star reviews.

Why Iceland is Perfect for You

Iceland offers a rare combination of safety, pristine nature, and unique experiences that are unmatched in Europe.

  • Unique Landscapes: Explore glaciers, black sand beaches, volcanoes, and waterfalls.

  • Natural Wonders: Witness the Midnight Sun in summer or hunt for the Northern Lights in winter.

  • Safe & Clean: One of the safest countries in the world with excellent infrastructure.

  • Easy Connectivity: A perfect standalone destination or an easy addition to a wider Nordic itinerary (Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden).

The "Indian Traveller" Advantage

We understand that Indian travellers have specific needs.

 Vegetarian & Dietary Care

We know that food is a crucial part of travel comfort.

  • Vegetarian Friendly: Vegetarian options are widely available across Iceland.

  • Special Requests: We can arrange Jain meals and specific dietary requirements with prior planning.

  • Group Catering: For larger groups, select hotels can facilitate kitchen access or external catering to ensure the taste of home is never far away.

When to Visit Iceland

We provide realistic advice on the best time to visit based on comfort and accessibility.

  • Northern Lights: We recommend September, December, and March for the best balance of aurora visibility and comfortable weather.

  • Summer (May–August): Ideal for first-timers and families. Expect the Midnight Sun, puffin season, waterfalls in full force, and long daylight that makes sightseeing relaxed.

  • Winter Caution: These months can be spectacular—but they’re also the most unpredictable for weather and road closures. For most leisure groups, we usually don’t recommend January–February unless you’re comfortable with cold, short daylight, and a flexible plan.

Visa Support

As Iceland is part of the Schengen Area, Indian passport holders must hold a valid Schengen visa prior to travel. Once your booking is confirmed, we provide all required ground service documentation — including hotel confirmations and a detailed itinerary — to support your visa application through VFS Global centres in India.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Answering common concerns for our Indian guests.

Q: Is it difficult to find vegetarian food outside of Reykjavik?

A: Not at all. Almost every restaurant in Iceland offers vegetarian dishes. For specific requirements like Jain or vegan meals, simply let us know during the planning stage, and we will ensure your itinerary includes suitable dining stops.

Q: Is it safe for us to drive in Iceland?

A: Yes, provided you have the right vehicle and preparation. We specialize in “supported self-drive,” meaning we book the right car (4WD in winter), plan realistic driving distances, and monitor weather alerts for you. We ensure you never drive into a storm unknowingly.

Q: Can you handle large corporate groups or Indian weddings?

A: Absolutely. We have extensive experience with MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). We can organize large-scale logistics, gala dinners in unique venues (like lava caves!), and team-building activities.

Q: Do you offer tours to other Nordic countries?

A: While we are Iceland experts, we coordinate seamless multi-country journeys across Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Greenland through our trusted operational partners. We remain your single point of contact.
