Setting off from Reykjavik’s Old Harbour, we head out to fishing areas in Faxaflói Bay – just outside Reykjavik. We usually do not have to wait long for the experienced crew to spot a fish in a flash!
If you have never been sea angling before, don’t worry – it is very straightforward! The crew will happily show you the ropes, advising you on bait and passing on their knowledge of the seas.
You have a good chance of catching cod, haddock, rockfish, and pollock on these sea angling trips. The sea angling tours are ideally suited to experienced fishers and those who wish to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings with a fishing rod in hand.
They grill your catch on board & serve it with potatoes and sauce!

Please note you will be asked to show a valid ID upon arrival for check-in. There’s also no parking spot on the harbor, but plenty of pay-to-park and parking garages are nearby. There are free parking spots in the next port, which is about 5 minutes walking distance away.
Nothing beats fresh fish and it can’t get any fresher than cooking it right after you fish it! This is such a fun tour in every aspect. Fishing out at sea, learning about the different fish you can get and then cooking it on site! And all just outside of Reykjavik!
