A perfect first day in Iceland! Get a fantastic orientation of Reykjavik and Iceland on our ‘Walk With a Viking’ Reykjavik city walking tour before heading out to catch your dinner at sea. It is sure to be the freshest fish you ever eat as the crew grill the day’s catch on board the boat!
We meet at Ingólfur Square in central Reykjavik at 1 PM (by the pair of three-meter stone pillars). Our Reykjavik walking tour is an ideal introduction to Iceland. It will help you get your bearings and make the most of your stay in Iceland. We always recommend this tour as the first stop in Reykjavik.
Our family-friendly tour brings the history of Iceland to life with exciting stories and Icelandic mythology. We’ll visit all the famous landmarks in the city center, such as Harpa Concert Hall, Reykjavik Harbour, Hallgrímskirkja Church (we’ll teach you how to pronounce that) Reykjavik Pond, and the Parliament building.
The city tour takes approximately two hours. Once finished, it’s time for Sea Angling from Reykjavik Harbor.
The City Walk ends around 3 PM, so you will have a couple of hours to relax before heading down to the harbor and starting the next adventure.
Your sea angling tour leaves at 5 PM from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík. Protective clothing is provided for your comfort and safety. We set off from Reykjavik’s Old Harbour and head out to fishing areas in Faxaflói Bay, where your experienced crew usually spot fish in a flash!
If you have never been sea fishing before, don’t worry – it is straightforward! The crew will happily show you the ropes, advise you on bait, and pass on their extensive knowledge of the seas.
You have a good chance of catching cod, haddock, rockfish, and pollock on these sea-angling trips. Sea angling tours are ideally suited to experienced fishermen and also for those who want to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings with a fishing rod.
After catching some fish, the crew will grill your catch on board and serve it with potatoes and sauce – the freshest fish dinner you will ever have!
