The ICELANDIC LAVA SHOW is the only place in the world where you can safely experience hot molten lava! The show is both educational and exhilarating!
The show recreates a volcano eruption, similar to what Eyjafjallajökull and Katla volcanoes are famous for, by pouring molten lava (1100°C / 2000°F) into the showroom and over ice. It is an epic battle between the elements and a unique opportunity to get close to red-hot lava, see it flowing, hear it sizzling, and feel the intense heat that radiates from it.

The building was initially built for the local grocery store but was entirely renovated for the lava show and restaurant inside to create a modern yet welcoming atmosphere.
Inside, there is not only the best soup restaurant in Iceland, but you can also find a souvenir shop with hand-made lava-related merchandise, some of which are made from our very own lava show and cannot be found anywhere else in Iceland.
