The Taste of Nature Tour Is a West of Iceland Foodie Experience Like No Other…

West Iceland offers a variety of stunning landscapes! Tumbling waterfalls, rugged lava fields, rivers brimful of salmon, mysterious mountains, and beautiful valleys.

It’s also one of the best farming areas in Iceland, making it the perfect area to mix visits to beautiful natural attractions with a visit to a farm.

This is the perfect tour for those travelers looking to enjoy unparalleled natural landscapes along with the culture and cuisine of rural Iceland.

On this West Iceland trip, you’ll get to sample local delicacies and enjoy a hearty lunch of locally produced ingredients. In addition to the food’s delicious taste, you’ll get to savor every bite in a picturesque setting close to Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring.

During our farm visit, we get a chance to meet the farmers, hear their stories, and taste their authentic, local produce. Here, old traditions meet modern innovation. You’ll find the farmers are naturally good storytellers; their insight brings the West Iceland food tour to life for our guests.

Unbeatable Food and Nature in the West of Iceland…

The tours may vary from day to day, and so does the food. The locally-produced dishes we sample will depend on the season. Still, among the tasty West Iceland dishes we typically sample, you can expect tender lamb meat, goat and cow cheese, traditional skyr, fresh vegetables, and sweet strawberries from geothermally heated greenhouses – to name a few.

A combination of scenic nature and culinary experience, Taste of Nature in the West of Iceland is a treat for all the senses.

As meat, fish, and dairy products are an essential part of the Icelandic diet; these food types are prominent in the food offered. Participants are responsible for taking care of any allergies or food intolerance they may have.
