Isafjordur Culture Walk

The Ísafjörður Culture Walk is a two-hour walking tour where we’ll explore the town of Ísafjörður, its history, and its culture. With around 2,800 inhabitants, Ísafjörður is the largest town in the Westfjords and has a lot to offer – from the fish shop with the largest selection in Iceland to the oldest house in the region and the country’s first unicorn company.

We’ll stroll through the old town, take a closer look at Icelandic architecture, hear stories about the region’s first settlers, and delve into many other fascinating topics. We’re also happy to tailor the tour to your individual interests.

On this tour, you’ll discover the town’s highlights as well as gain insights into daily life. You’ll also receive insider tips for planning the rest of your day.

Please wear sturdy shoes, as the ground can be slippery – especially at the beginning and end of the season – and bring weatherproof (especially windproof) clothing to be prepared for the often unpredictable weather.

Cancellation policy:

  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 3 days or less before event

Exclusions

  • Tip or gratuity
  • Food & drinks

What do I need to bring?

  • Comfortable walking shoes and a bottle of water
