Meet your road trip’s companion – the Easy Clever 4X4 X!

Our high-quality CampEasy camper vans are comfortable and safe and specially made for travelling around Iceland. When in our office, our agents will guide you through every detail regarding utilising the equipment and camper’s features so you can operate it with ease.

This vacation package includes the best fitting camper – our signature Easy Clever 4X4 X automatic, the “eXperienced” version of our 3-person, Easy Clever campervan. It is fully fitted and comes with all the bells and whistles but has some mileage and minor wear and tear. The Easy Clever X takes you so much further with the larger tires, raised chassis, and a 4X4 drive. It also comes equipped with a mounted spare tire on the back for easy access. If a camper was ever made for hunting Northern Lights in Iceland, it is the Easy Clever.

Like with all our campers, the Easy Clever X comes outfitted with all the equipment you need for an extended road trip around or into the highlands of Iceland. This campervan ensures that you will be able to reach and see all that you desire on your adventure. The Easy Clever X is insulated with our signature Full Insulation approach, making camping comfortable throughout seasons and temperatures.

In this campervan, you will find inclusions like thick duvets, cook/kitchenware, compressor fridge, quality stove, charging station, running water, inverter, BBQ + gas, table + two chairs, parking sensors, post-collision braking, park distance control, mobile phone interface and much, much more!


Day 1 : Reykjanesbær and Geldingardalur Volcano

Distance: 246 km 14 stops

Welcome to Iceland! Our included shuttle service will pick you up from the airport or your stay in Keflavik and bring you to our CampEasy office, located in Selvík 5 Reykjanesbær. Do not waste time and get into your campervan and start your first day travelling in Iceland. Our Easy Guide navigational tablet shows you the Reykjanes Peninsula, where you can visit the Geldingardalur Volcano, Gigvatnsvatn, Gunnuhver Hot Spring, and the Bridge Between Continents, and more.

Day 2: South Coast, Black Beach and Horse Riding

Hellishólar – Vik – Skaftafell

Distance: 282 km 12 stops

Your itinerary takes you to many breathtaking waterfalls like Seljalandsfoss, behind which it is possible to walk, Gljufrabui, and the mighty Skógafoss. On the road, you stop at the stunning Dyrhólaey – Cliffs and rock formations before heading to the famous Reynisfjara black sand beach, where you make friends with Icelandic horses during a horseriding tour. You end the day at Skaftafell campsite.

Day 3: Vatnajokull National Park – glacier hiking and Amphibian Boat Tour

Skaftafell – Diamond Beach – Stafafell

Distance: 195 km, eight stops

Start the day glacier hiking on Vatnajökull! You have a chance to explore Iceland’s largest glacier, which formed thousands of years ago. On the road to the campsite, you can see the Svartifoss waterfall and Diamond Beach, a black beach where blocks of ice rest onshore. The Amphibian Boat Tour lets you experience sailing between the huge icebergs of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. After the intensive day, we recommend stopping in Höfn for dinner at Ishusid Pizzeria Restaurant and tasting delicious lobster soup and pizza.

Day 4: East Coast and Seydisfjordur Fjord

Stafafell – Djúpivogur – Egilsstadir

Distance: 386 km 9 stops

If you are interested in artwork, make a stop at Gledivík Bay to see The Eggs at Djúpavík. You might also be interested in visiting Petra´s Stone Collection – the garden with minerals and stone collections (admission not included in the price) famous in Iceland. On the east coast, do not miss out on Hengifoss; a waterfall against a basalt wall background is worth seeing!

Day 5: North East and Lake Mývatn

Egilsstadir Campsite – Mývatn Lake – Hlíd Campsite

Distance: 234 km, 11 stops

Today you visit the North East coast of Iceland and Lake Mývatn, which is rich in geothermal areas. The day would not be completed without visiting Dimmuborgir, a unique volcanic formation where caves and arches were formed during a powerful eruption 2300 years ago. Finally, you end the day with a long and relaxing soak in the geothermal waters of Mývatn Nature Baths.

Day 6: Húsavik & Akureyri – Diamond Circle

Hlíd- Diamond Circle – Hamrar

Distance: 256 km, nine stops

Start the day by visiting Dettifoss, the second most powerful waterfall in Europe. Next, you visit Húsavík fishing town, known as the whale watching spot, and have the chance to see giant whales in their natural habitat. The next stop is a Godafoss waterfall on the way to Akureyri – called The Capital of North.

Day 7: The Battle of Iceland

Hamrar – Blonduós – Þingvellir Campsite

Distance:  463 km, eight stops

The first stop of the day is the Hofsós swimming pool which is among the most photographed and popular ones in Iceland due to its breathtaking view of the fjord and the seclusive atmosphere. Next, you visit the history museum 1238: The Battle of Iceland, where you experience the exhibition with VR & AR technology. Thingvellir National Park and its waterfall Oxara are the last visits on today´s itinerary.

Day 8: Golden Circle and Snorkeling in Silfra

Þingvellir Campsite – Golden Circle – Reykjavik

Distance: 197 km, seven stops

Today you experience snorkelling in Silfra – the fissure between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates right at the start of your itinerary! You then continue the Golden Circle sightseeing to visit the Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir. We recommend stopping at Fridheimar restaurant & farm, where you can taste tomato soup from Icelandic tomatoes farm-grown exclusively from geothermal energy.

Day 9: Departure

Reykjavik campsite – Reykjavik Downtown – CampEasy

Distance: 63 km, six stops

Discover Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, and its landmarks, such as the famous rainbow street in town and Hallgrímskirkja Church, from which you have a 360° panoramic view of the whole city. Should you have time on your departure day, we recommend visiting the Perlan Museum, where you learn interesting facts about Icelandic glaciers, birds, and nature. Perlan features a Northern Lights Planetarium show and 100 meters of The Ice Cave (admission not included in the general price).

Tablet will guide you with a turn-by-turn through the itinerary of your vacation package.   • Cancelation Protection. There is no charge if you cancel your reservation within 24 hours before pick up. If you do not cancel within 24 hours before pick up and do not show up, we will charge 30% of the total amount from your credit card.
  • Free Shuttle. We offer our customers arriving at the International Airport Keflavik (KEF) a free shuttle to our office at Selvik 5 during opening hours, or we will pick you up anywhere in the Keflavík area during opening hours. We drop you off anywhere in the Keflavík area when the camper is returned. If you are returning outside of business hours, you will need to take a taxi to your next point. There is no additional charge to use our shuttle. However, charges apply for taking a taxi. Our opening hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Included activities have rules that may apply to you:

  • Horseback Riding Tour – weight limit is 120kg; all personal riding equipment should be disinfected before coming to Iceland
  • Glacier hike Troll Expeditions Vatnajökull – Skaftafell – The age limit is 8 years old, 
  • Snorkelling in Silfra with Adventure Vikings – The age limit is 14 years old, be able to communicate in English, be physically fit, and not be pregnant. You should be comfortable in the water and be able to swim. 145cm (4’9) tall minimum / maximum 200cm (6’7) tall, 45kg (99 lbs) minimum / maximum 120kg (264 lbs).
